
Aimee is an experienced tutor, with over 10 years’ experience in the tuition sector. She is a fully qualified teacher, with a PCGE from the University of Buckingham. Aimee is also a qualified Specialist Dyslexia Teacher, registered with the British Dyslexia Association.
Aimee has a Degree, Masters, and PhD in Classics and Ancient History from the University of Manchester.
She has an up-to-date DBS certificate and is registered with the DBS Update Service. She regularly refreshes her Safeguarding For Tutors training through the NSPCC.
Aimee has Level 2 certificates in Understanding Children and Young People’s Mental Health, Understanding Autism, and Understanding Specific Learning Difficulties.
Aimee works hard to build a warm, friendly, and collaborative atmosphere. Students are helped to feel comfortable and to take control of their learning.

Aimee also offers confidence building sessions for students at school and university level. She can also help you with essay and dissertation writing skills.
Aimee has experience in supporting home educated students, including those who have struggled with mainstream schooling. She also enjoys working with pupils who thrive in their schools. As a self employed tutor, she works flexible hours (including weekdays, evenings, and weekends) so she can find a time to suit you.
Aimee loves to knit and crochet in her spare time. She enjoys lots of hands on crafts – including building full size ancient Greek catapults as part of her PhD project!
